Topography Surveys
Topography Survey is defined as the service performed to determine the configuration, relief or elevations of a portion of the earth’s surface, including the location of natural and/or man made features thereon. A Topography Survey is necessary in order to prepare an accurate topography map and requires the expert skill of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor well versed in maintaining accuracy and precision in detail mapping as defined by the TSPS Manual of Practice for Land Surveying in Texas - Categories 1-9.
Purposes of a Topography Survey include the following:
- Land Development for subdivisions, parks, and city planning
- Architectural planning
- Landscaping
- Drainage or irrigation studies
- Flood control
- Proposed reservoirs
- Surface mining or quarrying
- Industrial development
